Flu season here so far is tame
Allegheny County Health Department spokesman Guillermo Cole says he doesn't think there's an answer as to why, but he's happy to report that the Pittsburgh area's having a mild flu season to date. So far, there have been only five confirmed cases -- one believed to have been contracted by someone when traveling abroad -- with just the rest of February, March and perhaps April to go.

Mesa County child hospitalized with flu
This is now the second hospitalized flu case in Mesa County this season, and as we enter the peak of flu season, health officials warn that these might not be the only two people that will end up in the hospital with a case of the flu.
