Benefit garage sale set May 5

The Arkansas Valley Chapter of DAR will host a garage sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 5 at 42 Ironweed Drive in University Park. Proceeds will benefit local educational initiatives including scholarships, essay contests, Junior ROTC recognition programs and the local Children of the American Revolution group.

When I returned home, I Googled the manufacturer’s part number and found that it retails for $100. I’m glad that I don’t live in Arkansas as a judge there would likely say that I would have to give back $96 to the seller.
